Role Summary:
The Assistant Revenue Manager will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition, billing compliance, and revenue reporting for both CPaaS (Communications Platform as a Service) and SaaS product lines. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams (Sales, Legal, Product, Finance Ops) to ensure revenue is accurately captured, invoiced, and reported in accordance with company policies, Indian accounting standards, and applicable regulatory requirements (including GST etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
Billing Operations
- Oversee accurate and timely invoicing.
- Ensure billing accuracy with customer contracts, approved commercials, and tax requirements.
- Bill plan approvals are validated with the underlying documents.
Revenue Assurance & Recognition
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition in compliance with Ind AS for SaaS and CPaaS businesses.
- Validate revenue reports from platforms against contracts, PO, and SDF approvals.
- Manage month-end/quarter-end revenue close activities — accruals, deferrals, reconciliations, commentary.
- Support internal and external audits (Statutory, Tax, Internal, IFC).
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure billing and revenue compliance with GST / DOT / TRAI.
- Maintain IFC documentation for revenue processes.
- CN issuance process are strictly adhered
- Support automation and process improvement initiatives.
Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare monthly revenue MIS, dashboards, and variance analysis.
- Provide insights on customer/product/geography revenue trends.
- Assist in revenue forecasting and budgeting.
Desired Skills & Competencies:
- Strong hold on revenue accounting and invoicing.
- Knowledge of Ind AS (added advantage).
- Understanding of CPaaS/SaaS billing models
- Knowledge of GST compliance for telecom/SaaS revenue
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets, familiarity with ERP (Microsoft BC, SAP, Oracle)
- Analytical and detail-oriented mindset
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
