Role Overview


As the Director / Sr. Director of Product Management, you will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of Exotel’s Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) portfolio, along with adjacent offerings such as CCaaS, Chatbots, and AI-driven solutions. This role demands a blend of strategic thinking, technical depth, and customer empathy to build products that redefine customer communications. You will partner closely with engineering, CX, sales, and marketing teams to deliver innovative, high-performance products that solve real customer problems and position Exotel as a market leader in CPaaS.

We are looking for a hands-on, customer-obsessed product leader who thrives in dynamic environments and can balance long-term vision with operational execution.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision and roadmap for Exotel’s CPaaS portfolio, ensuring alignment with company strategy and market opportunities.

  • Drive product innovation, incorporating Generative AI and other emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities.

  • Lead product lifecycle activities from discovery to delivery, including market research, requirement definition, launch, and ongoing improvements.

  • Partner with engineering to build reliable, scalable, and real-time cloud communications products for enterprise-grade use cases.

  • Engage with customers, partners, and industry analysts to identify trends, pain points, and opportunities.

  • Use TAM/SAM analysis and ROI-based business cases to prioritize investments.

  • Define and monitor product success metrics, including adoption, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction.


 

Experience & Skills

Product Management Expertise

  • 12–15 years in product management, with significant leadership in CPaaS, cloud communications, SaaS, or AI-enabled platforms.

  • Proven experience in scaling and managing complex product portfolios.

  • Demonstrated success integrating emerging technologies (e.g., Generative AI) into commercial products.

Enterprise SaaS & CX

  • 5+ years serving enterprise customers in the past 7 years.

  • Strong understanding of the customer experience (CX) ecosystem, including CRM, contact centers, and automation platforms.

Technical Depth

  • Experience building web-based, real-time, mission-critical applications.

  • Solid grasp of cloud technologies, APIs, microservices, and software development lifecycles.

Business Acumen

  • Skilled in creating data-driven product strategies and business cases.

  • Track record of driving measurable business impact.

Leadership Attributes

  • Experience mentoring and managing product teams, ideally with 10+ PMs.

  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.

  • Strong storytelling and presentation skills to evangelize the product vision internally and externally.

  • Comfortable debating ideas constructively and aligning to collective decisions.
